From install to daily use.
Everything WA Bridge does, in the order you will use it. Two minutes to set up, then one click at a time.
Install and sign in
Add WA Bridge from the Chrome Web Store, then click “Continue with Google”. Your account is your Google account: no password to create.
Pin WA Bridge to Chrome
Click the puzzle icon at the top right of Chrome, then the pin next to WA Bridge. Its menu is then one click away: subscription, templates, invitations, language.
Open WhatsApp Web
Go to web.whatsapp.com, scan the QR code with your phone and keep the tab open, even in the background. Your messages go from this tab, never through our servers.
Send a WhatsApp from Odoo
On any record, click the green WhatsApp logo in the chatter, next to “Activities”. The record's contact is already filled in: “Change” lets you pick another contact, a group or another number. Write, send: the message is logged as an internal note on the record.
Attach a file or an Odoo PDF
“Attach” offers three choices: a file from your computer, a file already attached to the record, or the record's own PDF (quotation, invoice, delivery slip…), generated by Odoo on the spot.
Use message templates
The templates button, next to “Attach”, inserts a ready-made message where your cursor is. Create, edit and delete templates in the extension menu, or with “Create a template” at the bottom of the list.
See the conversation live in Odoo
“View conversation” opens the WhatsApp chat in a window next to the record, updated live. Move it by its header; Odoo stays usable beside it.
Save WhatsApp messages to Odoo
In WhatsApp Web, a badge on each chat shows the Odoo records linked to the contact. Click a record, tick the messages (Shift + click for a range), then “Save to Odoo”. Photos, PDFs and voice notes go in as attachments; nothing is ever saved twice.
Link a group or an unknown number
If the number is not in Odoo, or for a WhatsApp group, search for any Odoo record by name and link it once. The link is remembered for next time.
Never miss a reply
When a contact replies on WhatsApp, a small bubble appears in Odoo with the start of the message and their records. Switch it off in the menu if you prefer.
Invite a colleague
Menu → “Invite a colleague”: copy your personal link. Your colleague gets a month free, and so do you once they send their first message.
Subscription
The free trial covers 5 messages sent and 5 saved, within 24 hours of the first one. Then choose monthly or yearly in the menu (“Subscription and code”); “Manage my subscription” changes the card or cancels in one click.
